Daily Habits of Successful people to kick life’s butt in under 30 days

Our lives are an accumulation of all our past habits. Every thought, action and belief contributed to the person you are today and your circumstances. They are seldom focused on, but our habits are so important.

Think about it. Take a moment and reflect on your past years. All the things you did, all the decisions you made. You will at least begin to see some turning points that really determine where you are today.

The most successful people go to where they are daily routines followed for years. Despite the immediate stardom you see on television and online, to be a professional in any pursuit takes many years of dedication and practice.

And then comes competing, staying there and being world class.

Look at Tiger Woods who recently won his fifth Masters title. His last victory was in 2005, and then had multiple cheating allegations, and was divorced. He also had a back injury where we had to take an indefinite leave from the spot. Can you imagine the absolute dedication he had to put in and now 40 years old to still be beating the young and upcoming players?

Why we all won’t become professional players, the crux here is that the same principle applies to all of us. If you want any decent shot at becoming successful whether it's your job, business or career you must have steady habits and routines that you follow. You don't have to do the same thing all the time but you must have one.

Universally, there are several key habits and daily activities that have stood out and that is what I am about to share with you.

Here are some of the key daily habits of successful people use to dominate the world and be fulfilled.

Exercise

I know it may seem that it has been beaten to death, but bear with me. My perspective on this will interest you.

Most people don't workout and statistically speaking, most people are sick. The obesity rate in the US is at an all-time high. Two thirds of the workforce in a recent study are shown to be very stressed.

Why it's important: it is actually self-explanatory. The more active one's lifestyle, the more you get done. The numerous benefits such as reduced stress, higher energy levels, increase confidence, higher sex drive and life expectancy will improve anyone..

How to use it: there are several forms and styles of working out. weight-lifting, aerobics, yoga, dance. You need to just pick one. It could also be an activity that you enjoy doing. Try to engage in your activity of choice at least 3 times a week.

Good Posture

Many of our postures are a mess. We spent most of our days sitting whether it’s work, school, in transit or on the couch. Depending on how far you’d like to take it, also how we sit on the toilet. The vast majority of individuals actually spend more time sitting than sleeping. Our cell phones and devices have strained us so much we don't even realize it.

Why is it important?

A lot of ailments are caused by poor posture habits. A lack of physical activity by sitting all day, eye strain by looking at devices constantly. Our modern luxuries simply have made it convenient to move our bodies in ways it wasn't designed to be used. It also will prevent elements such as lower back pain, osteoporosis and other bone conditions especially as you age.

How to use it: select one habit you going to stick to for 90 days to improve your posture

Time blocking

Time blocking is one of those things that is really tough to start but addictive once you get used to it.

It is really useful when tackling long and difficult projects. As part of our daily routine, we get more done faster. Procrastination is an issue we are all guilty of. However until we learn how to overcome it, you will always fall short of our potential. You will fall behind on key tasks, objectives and goals.

Why is it important?

No matter what method of time management you use, you need to at least know where your time goes. The idea isn’t to complicate the process with some fancy app or platform but simply get started with what you have. It will surely go a long way

Sleep

If there’s one habit that you learn from and implement after reading this article, it is the need to get adequate sleep. Not just enough but quality sleep. We spend one third of our lives sleeping and many of us don't even prioritize. It impacts your ability to do all of the previous habits.

I know it sounds simple and obvious but sustained poor quality sleep will wreck your life. Our screens and gadgets have made it worse, tricking our bodies into believing that we can sleep less and still be at our best.

How to use it

There are many methods and hacks on various types and schedules of sleep. However, until you consistently get 7-8 hours of sleep, I wouldn't suggest even looking at them. Start there.

Another useful tip is to track your sleep. This used to be tough to do accurately but many newer devices such as the Oura Ring have made it much simpler.

Lastly, get better mattresses. Trust me, it's one of the best investments you can make.

Conclusion

The things required to be happy and fulfilling in life are known, most of them. The real issue is whether you are willing to commit and actually do them. People who excel do so because of the routines and habits that they keep on living by.

With that said, experiment. Don't feel stuck to one routine and method of doing things. See what works for you.

Be great, keep learning and most importantly keep taking action.
